Happy Tuesday! I hope you’re week has gotten off to a good start. Easter will be here in two weeks and I have a line up Easter crafts coming!
Thank you for joining me for this weeks SEW Organized Craft Room feature! I’ve been showing you ways to store yarn, like in a McDonalds cup, on a toilet paper roll, and in a tic tac container , but did you ever think you could decorate yarn for Easter?
They make the cutest little Easter baskets for your craft room!
It’s a perfect way to decorate your craft room.
And you probably already have all the supplies on hand!
Supplies you will need:
Yarn rolls
Hot glue gun
A strip of burlap and piece of paper
Easter grass
Fuzzy sticks
1) Simply cut a strip of paper and a strip of burlap to wrap around your yarn.
2) I first glued the paper around the yarn so the color wouldn’t show through the burlap. Cut it long enough so the ends will overlap so you don’t get hot glue on your yarn.
3) Insert a fuzzy stick between the burlap and paper for the handle.
4) Make a bow using another fuzzy stick and hot glue it on to the burlap. Add Easter grass and eggs and you have a cute little Easter decoration for your craft room!

These are SO adorable! I have a couple of white rolls of yarn, I wonder if I could dye them and make little baskets… hmmm…
Thanks for the inspiration!
Tania
Hi Tania! I’m so glad you stopped by! I don’t know if you can dye the yarn, but another option would be instead of wrapping burlap around them you could use colored scrapbook paper, then you wouldn’t need to dye the yarn.
